It all started for me at the age of 15, my first ever job, a tea and tidy. Essentially I was employed to sweep the floor and pass foil up to the senior hairdressers. As hard as it seemed at the time I now look back on that time with so much appreciation. Why?, because I found my true passion and I’ve never looked back. I’m been in the hairdressing and hair extensions industry now for approaching 30 years, that makes me sound really old doesn’t it. I’ve managed and owned a number of hair salon over my career which has taught me so much about not only business but also about myself as a hairdresser, hair extensions specialist and educator.

I’ve always had a real passion for training and education. I owned my last hair salon for 9 years and I always had a real passion for training and educating my apprentice hairdressers and senior stylists. I truely believe that with hairdressing and hair extensions nothing beats practical experience, time in the game as they say. As much as colour application is a science, its also an art form and like any great artist growth can take many years to find that creativity and level of skill and expertise. 

My training platform through Mandy Morgan Hair Extensions Education and Certification helps aspiring or established hair extensions specialists and hairdressers to become not just competent in the art of hair extensions application but highly proficient and confident in their craft. Students learn the theoretical components of their hair extensions certification program online then you have 1 to 2 days of practical in person training with me, personally in my salon at Mermaid Waters on the Gold Coast or at your salon.
